Child in a MiniMeis shoulder carrier

I bought a MiniMeis shoulder carrier for my child in October 2025 for £169. It lets a child sit on your shoulders with support for their back and a harness to hold them in place. This review covers my first nine months of use.

Score: 8/10

At a glance

  • A clever design that gives a child a great view.

  • Well made, with no problems with straps or buckles.

  • Best for shorter outings.

  • Becomes less comfortable as the child gets heavier.

After 3 months (January 2026)

It is a clever piece of equipment. The raised seat gives a child a great view, and it feels well designed. Getting my child in and out took a little practice.

After 6 months (April 2026)

I was still enjoying using it, mainly on walks and days out. It is comfortable for shorter periods. Over longer distances the weight on your shoulders becomes noticeable.

After 9 months (July 2026)

The carrier has held up well and I have had no problems with straps or buckles. It is becoming a little less comfortable as my child gets heavier.

Verdict so far

A well-made carrier that suits shorter outings. Check the height and weight limits before you buy, because they decide how long you can use it. My next update is due in October 2026, at 12 months.
