I have ordered retro football shirts from Classic Football Shirts three times, in May 2024, June 2024 and July 2026. Each order cost between £99.99 and £299.98. This review covers the first order in May 2024 through to now.

After 3 months (August 2024)

I was very pleased with my first orders. The range of older and harder-to-find designs is better than anywhere else I have looked. The shirts matched their descriptions. That matters, because you cannot inspect a second-hand shirt before you buy it online.

The downside is price. The most popular shirts cost a lot more than standard ones.

After 6 months (November 2024)

The shirts had kept their quality well. The older designs are the ones I like most. I am careful about how often I wash them, because printed sponsors and badges on older shirts can wear. Washing them cold and inside out helps.

After 9 months (February 2025)

I was still impressed by the range. The main frustration was how quickly prices rise for certain clubs, seasons and players. If a shirt you want becomes popular, it can become expensive very fast.

After 12 months (May 2025)

I had kept buying from them, which says a lot about my experience. Quality was reliable and the range was excellent. Some prices were becoming hard to justify.

After 24 months (May 2026)

After several orders, the experience has been good every time. The shirts have held up well. This is a shop where it is easy to spend more than you meant to, so set a budget before you start browsing.

The best place I know for retro football shirts. Quality and descriptions are reliable. Watch the prices for the most popular shirts. I will update this review if anything changes.
