Decathlon review: 18 months of use

Image: Decathlon
I bought from Decathlon in March 2025 for £102.98. I have used it regularly since then. This review covers the first year and a half.
Score: 8/10
At a glance
Very good value for money.
Well made for the price.
Has lasted better than I expected.
Some savings show in the materials and finishing.
After 3 months (June 2025)
I was impressed by the value. The product feels well made and does everything I need. It costs much less than a similar product from a better-known sports brand.
After 6 months (September 2025)
It was still performing well. I could see a few compromises in materials and finishing, which is where the lower price shows. None of them affected everyday use.
After 9 months (December 2025)
It had lasted better than I expected. There was no major wear and it was still a practical purchase.
After 12 months (March 2026)
After a year it remains excellent value. It has held up well enough that I doubt paying more for a premium brand would have made much difference for how I use it.
Verdict so far
Decathlon is a good choice when you want practical kit that works and you do not need a well-known brand name. My next update is due in March 2027, at two years.
