Ocushield screen filter on a laptop

I bought an Ocushield screen filter in March 2026 for £32.69. It fits over the screen and filters some blue light. This review covers my first six months.

Score: 7/10

At a glance

  • Easy to fit.

  • Does not get in the way of using the screen.

  • Reflections can be annoying.

  • Hard to tell whether it reduces eye strain.

After 3 months (June 2026)

The filter was easy to fit and I barely noticed it when using the screen. The filtering is subtle.

I found it hard to tell whether it made any real difference to eye strain. Claims about eye strain and sleep are hard to test at home, so I treat them with caution.

After 6 months (September 2026)

It is still in good condition and stays out of the way. Reflections can be annoying at times. I am not convinced the benefits are large.

Verdict so far

A well-made accessory that does not interfere with the screen. Buy it as screen protection with mild filtering, not as a proven fix for tired eyes. My next update is due in December 2026.
