I bought music and audio equipment from Thomann in October 2024 for £1,015. Thomann is one of the largest music and audio retailers in Europe. This review covers my first 12 months of use and will continue every three months.

Score: 9/10

At a glance

  • Excellent quality equipment.

  • Made a clear improvement to my setup.

  • Reliable through a year of regular use.

  • Setting it up exactly as I wanted took time.

After 3 months (January 2025)

I was very impressed with the equipment. The quality is excellent and it made a clear difference to my setup. At £1,015 it was a large investment, and the performance reassured me that it was the right choice.

After 6 months (April 2025)

It was still working without any faults. The controls and connections feel solid. Getting everything set up exactly as I wanted took some trial and error. If you are new to this kind of equipment, allow time for it.

After 9 months (July 2025)

Reliability was excellent. The equipment had become a regular part of my setup, and the cost was starting to feel justified by how often I used it.

After 12 months (October 2025)

After a year I was very happy with the purchase. I had seen no drop in performance and it still felt like professional-quality equipment.

Verdict so far

A very good specialist retailer. The equipment I bought has been reliable and well made, and it gets used often. My next update is due at the end of October 2026, at two years.
