Zoohause, Woburn: shop review
Updated: 7 hours ago

Image: Zoohause
Zoohause is a furniture and homeware shop in Woburn's old town hall, a building from 1830 on the Market Place. It sells furniture, lighting, rugs, cushions, candles, diffusers and gifts. There is a second shop in St Albans and an online shop. Prices start under £20 for small items and go up to sofas and dining tables.
What is good
The building is a pleasure to visit, and Woburn makes a good morning out.
The range is different from the high street chains. Many pieces are hard to find elsewhere.
The staff know the stock and help you choose pieces that fit your room.
Delivery is free on orders over £85 on qualifying items.
What is not good
Prices for small decor items are high. You pay for the selection and the setting.
The shop is not large, so only a limited amount of furniture is on show at any time.
The style is distinctive. If your taste is plainer, much of the stock will not suit you.
Verdict
Zoohause is worth a visit if you want furniture and decor that does not look like it came from a chain store. Go with a clear idea of what you need.
